Caption This: (s)Martini Pants

P1020814

A gentleman at the Wine Festival on Saturday was wearing these pants, which really are that green, the camera does not lie. I don’t know how I feel about them. Outrageous, zany, fun, courageous? Or a serious fashion crime. Maybe your caption can help me decide.

Dear God, I was too distracted to see the shoes before!

I actually love the pants, BUT, feel they are actually Womens!

I am so impressed you were able to capture them! I love it.

I actually like the pants.

But those shoes have GOT to go.

Actually, Andi, you're right: the tapered ankle make them look like womens' pants.

A grown straight man should never, ever wear martinis on pants, much less that color green. But to pair with THOSE shoes. A true fashion crime that even the best attorney couldn't defend.

I love the idea of the pants, and the personality/brio behind them. But I did notice the shoes straight away, and it caused me to question whether it was a geek-chic type of fashion move, or perhaps just a mistake...

He could actually be Napoleon Dynamite, in 30 years. Could I have some tots with that wine?

And he was straight, there's no question.

i love the pants, but the shoes are too much, and really we must consider the shirt- which is criminal with the belt. clearly the shirt should be untucked, possibly button up- loose, casual- emphasizing the over all 'hip' look-- which now instead makes the jeans a sort of geekish expression opposed to some ironic zany gesture... and the shoes should be leather flip/flops or loafers... such is my eye. but i'm glad the pants exist anyway.

Agreed, M. Untucked shirt is better, loose button-up "hip" look should've been the aim. Also, the clip-on cell phone has got to go, and if he has to carry it with him, fine, but let's find another place for it. Please?

"What's Shakin'?"

I'm sorry girls, I have to disagree. These pants on a man is not a good idea. On a girl, sure, in the form of a cute strapless dress, absolutely!

And the shoes. I saw them at the time and was appropriately horrified! :)
