TRUTH: Hitting the G Spot

Apparently I'm rather masochistic because I'm about to tell you that I used to OWN a Kenny G CD. Not borrowed once. Not found on the side of the road. PURPOSEFULLY SOUGHT OUT.

I'll give you a minute to let that fully sink in.

Now that you have recovered from your involuntary (or voluntary?) retching, let me explain. This was back in the day (which doesn't really count for this truth or dare, but like I said, masochistic) when I was 16 and had just gotten my very first CD player. Since I was young and broke, I hopped on the BMG Music bandwagon and decided to take advantage of their 8 CDs for one penny! deal. And this would be one of the ones that I chose.

I'm sure someone somewhere was filling my little order and just shaking their head incomprehensibly. Especially since I believe I also ordered The Judds. And I'm sure if I could remember what the six other choice selections were, I would be equally as mortified.

Can I blame it on the terrible selection from BMG? Please? Or is there someone out there who Kenny G hits the spot for?

Mwahahahaha. Kenny G. That's a good one.

Actually, we listen to a lot of Kenny G at Christmas time, at my parents' house. It's true.

Growing up, my dad had his CD and I actually enjoyed listening to it. That and Enya were very soothing. But, it's been a looong time since I've listened to either.

really? Kenny G? Maybe back in the day, but not still

Pen: Why did you not admit this in your TRUTH? I suppose that might be alright so some soothing sounds of the season, but I was SIXTEEN, mellowing out in my bedroom!

Andi: Enya makes me think of the Miss Whatever pageant in high school where they kept playing that one song over and over as the girls walked out in their evening gowns. Ick.

IM: I'm with you. Hindsight is 20/20

For real Pen, this confession should've been in your "truth."

Kenny G makes me think of John Tesh and Michael Bolton. Ew. On all fronts.

Dude, I totally bought this CD from BMG, too! Maybe there was some subliminal message in their flyers...
