Pen’s Picks

It’s almost a struggle for me to come up with some energizing, cabin retreat-appropriate music, as my usual fare would put you all into coma. A mellow, harmonized, all-is-awesome-with-the-world hippie coma, but a coma nonetheless. This collection is pretty random, but inspired by karaoke bars, group road trips, and other rock star moments of my mind.  Jack Johnson, I’m afraid you’ll just have to stay in the car.

Oh my God! Walk like an Egyptian? How old are you people? I thought you were only in your thirties? That is totally from my heyday and I graduated from college 23 years ago! When this song came out! Ah, the Classics. They never age.

In our 30s and children of the 80s, I guess? :) It came out when I was in third grade.

I'm down with the songs below the video. Otherwise, we have mighty different tastes, my friend! :)

I'm liking this list! And I think it's ok to have different moods to our music - we can't be dancing and crazy all the time, right?

Although. .I can't get the video to load and I know some of the top songs by different artists, so interesting choices!

I love this list too! Paul Simon is a fav of mine. And I cannot wait to download Cake's version of I Will Survive (*I assume this is the Gloria Gaynor song). My group of girlfriends from college & HS have choreographed a rockin' dance to IWS. I would be happy to share.

Although that would me videoing the dance. And our girls weekends have a strict No Videos rule...
