Due to this bartender's unfortunate affliction of having the longest, skinniest toes out of every human and chimp on the planet, you should consider that I know a thing or two about making toes look their best.
The first step is to keep your toenails painted, ladies! Unless your feet were kissed by the gods, you probably can't pull of the no polish look. Please make the extra effort and decorate your toes. That new pair of fab sandals will look all the better with a little perk of color on your feet.
My new favorite color for this summer is Revlon 120: Hushed Blush. It's a nice neutral-ish shade that looks great with any shoe color. The not-so-alarming color does not attract all sorts of attention to long, skinny toes like a loud red or hot pink does (although I have bravely worn both colors in a 'screw it' moment) which can be good, at times. Don't let the pearly look of it turn you off; it gives the shade a little bit of jazz rather than a dull, boring matte. I don't remember the cost, $4 maybe?, which is a pretty good deal. Especially if you are like me and might purchase a few different colors before you find one that actually looks good on.
Take this bartender's advice: get your Hushed Blush on!

Ooo. Nice recommendation.
I'm blushing over here for reals, though, because my toes are generally an embarrassment, a travesty.
What do you recommend for long, skinny-toed boy children, such as N.Lo? Just go with the monkey motif?
Pen, I would wager that your toes on any given day would look better than mine. That's why they need all the help I can give them!
Boys with long toes are 'good runners' and 'royalty' or whatever. Girls with long ass skinny toes get monkey jokes. Poor A and E, the spin of the genetics wheel did not spare them!
I hate picking out the color at the salon, because I'm inevitably disappointed and have just spent an hour and a half and x$$ and don't like the result! I'm going to find a shade I like and start bringing it with me (not that I go that often, I promise - just for big events like weddings or travels to the beach, etc.) I got a similar shade recently that I've really liked and have used on Sweet Pea and will look up the name of when I get home and share.
PS I have the opposite problem and have been told I have "flinstone feet" with short, chopped off tiny toes! the "nail" on my pinky toe is nearly nonexistent!
No way. I've got troll feet. It's true.
Among other problems, the second toes on both feet curl under. On my left foot, if you're just looking down at it, the toe curls under so much, you can't even tell there's a nail! Not to mention my cuticles are always effed up, and I have terrible painting skills. They're downright ghastly, I'm telling you.
Andi, I love that you have Flinstone feet. Hee.
