While You Were at the Bar 4/22

Wondering what us girls are up to with this bar? Click here.

News you can use:

FLDS members have embarked upon a PR campaign to bring attention to the plight of their children. Members of the media have been welcomed inside their once locked gates to give insight into their lives as polygamists.

The leader of militant group Hamas offered Israel a 10 year truce if they would withdraw from lands seized during the 1967 Middle East War. The offer was made to Jimmy Carter during their talks on Saturday.

Today is Earth Day! Check out this site for a really cool idea to help keep mounds and mounds of stuff out of landfills. And lots of other green articles and ideas, too!

News you can lose:

The extremely popular show Deadliest Catch on The Discovery channel has been accused of creative editing. In the season opener last week the Wizard is shown getting pummeled by large waves and subsequently a leak in the stateroom. The footage of the wave was actually taken on a different day than the day the leak occurred but they were stitched together to appear as one series of events.

Word of the Day:

roister

Are you witty enough to use this word in a sentence? Or has the roister got your tongue?

Monday's WOD, portent, means

1. A sign of a coming event or calamity; an omen
2. Prophetic or menacing significance.
3. Something amazing; a marvel.

Congratulations to Andi for her sentence "Bubba wanted to go camping, but he erected such a portent, Bobbie Ann wouldn't sleep in it and made him take her home."
