While You Were at the Bar 4/18

First time quenching your thirst at the bar? Click here.

News you can use:

Poor Texas District court judge Barbara Walther began hearings to determine the fate of the 416 children taken from the raid on the FDLS ranch. At certain points the courtroom seemed to turn into a circus with hundreds of lawyers each objecting in turn. No decision was made in the case and it looks like it could go on for days and days. How funny is it that the judge's name is Barbara Walther? I wonder if she knows Baa Baa Walters?

U.S. troops have begun building a wall in Sadr City, Iraq. They hope that the wall will help protect parts of the city from militia fighters who want to hamper rebuilding.

Organizers of the Olympic Torch Relay in New Delhi, India went above and beyond to protect the runners and the flame. Quite the security measures were in place after growing fear that the country's Tibetan population would protest the relay due to China's rule over Tibet.

News you can lose:

During his Washington D.C. visit Pope Benedict XVI has been spotted wearing some snazzy red shoes. Among other reasons for the spiffy red loafers, they serve as a reminder of the years he spent wearing the red cloth of a cardinal. (I guess if you are Catholic this is not news you should lose, so I apologize.)

Word of the Day:

salubrious

For the love of the Pope's red shoes, please use this word in a sentence, especially if you don't know the definition.

Yesterday's WOD was objurgate, which means: to express strong disapproval of; to criticize severely. Congratulations to me for my sentence "I am going to objurgate all over your ass if I'm the only one making up these damn sentences."

It would be most salubrious for us all to check in on the word of the day and come up with a sentence.

As a Catholic, it is totally important to me that the Pope was rocking the footwear Dorothy-style.

The hair gel was so salubrious, it gave him a slick pimp style for hours and hours.

Salubriously, I'm so hungry I'm about to eat my bright red shoe.
