WTFriday: Ticket to 1989 Now Available at Target

Was out shopping this morning, and noticed these pants on the racks at Target:

I promptly ran screaming in terror from the clothing department.

They are referred to online as “Bio Wash” jeans. Um, you mean STONEWASHED? There are a lot of things I’d rather not remember about 6th and 7th grade, and these jeans are one of them. The legs are even tapered, for god’s sake. Will the next version have ankle zippers as well? Wait—holy shit, I just noticed there are buttons on the ankles if you click on one of the close-ups. Also available in “gray” and “java,” otherwise known as “PUKE.”

The picture might not do them justice, but trust me, they are that bad, and totally 1989.

8 tips left at the bar:

No. No. NO! There are so many things wrong with this, it's unbelievable. Are these Zena jeans?! OMG, please stop talking about ankle zippers. You're going to make me sick.

I love how the description on the website lists them as 'Pull-On Jeans.' As in what other kind?

I am here to make a public declaration that I will NEVER, EVER wear something like this again. EVER.

It's too bad that there are buttons on the ankles...ruins the option of tight-rolling those babies.

Does "pull-on" mean they have a Sansabelt-like elastic waistband? This is SO wrong on SO many levels.

Please tell me that they're not part of the Isaac Mizrahi line...

BTW girls, I've so enjoyed the drunk stories! I've been afraid to comment because I think I have resembled alot of them at one point or another...

Have a great weekend! Here is Dallas we're just going to sit back & watch Hurricane Ike blow thru and dump boat-loads of rain. Think good thought for our Gulf Coast neighbors.

Repeat after me: If you were the trend the first time around, you are NOT allowed to wear it again.

Crap "wore", not "were"

THANK GAWD. Now if I can just lose another 40 pounds I know I'll have something in style to wear.

Best. WTFriday. Ever.

I had these jeans. I did. Really. In eighth grade. And I wore them with the ruffled collar shirts that were so popular.

Next thing you know braces will be all the rage.

Megan, if you were the ones with the slit and the bow on the back (with high heels), I will stage an intervention and Marisa and I will cut them off of you!

PS - No Tretorn's or Russell Athletic nylon shorts either!

Thank you.
