Web-love

So, I'm just sitting down (it's almost 8:30pm as I type this) to check my emails and browse the Smartini posts that I missed when I realize that I'm on deck. Whoops.

I tell you this because admittedly I have not put as much thought into this week's topic as I have with the past couple of posts. You may have heard, I went to San Francisco for four days and between sea lions, Chinatown, and the best freaking ice cream sundae in the United States, I didn't do much web browsing or thinking about the internet.

However, without http://www.sidestep.com/, my little sojourn to the West Coast would've been more expensive and not nearly as well informed.

This little beauty of a site not only searches multiple websites to find the best fare on flights, but also offers great deals on hotels, cars, and cruises. My favorite feature is the ability to track the fares and to look at a chart to see when the prices peak and decline. It's pretty fab, and I highly recommend using it the next time you need to book a travel adventure!

5 tips left at the bar:

Awesome! I'm always looking for a better "best-price" site for travel.

Well, damn. This wasn't supposed to go up until tomorrow, so much for "draft" Blogger. Eh. Whatevs.

Hmmm, that silly Blogger. Sometimes I forget to go into draft.blogger.com? Otherwise, it will just publish it right then, rather than scheduling it to be posted later.

Good to know!
I was using kayak.com for looking into our travel plans for the summer. It searches 140+ different travel sites and can send you updates and will track how the fares have changed since you started trackgin them, etc. Just thought I'd pass it along. . .I haven't actually purchased through them and I'm not sure you actually do, they just searc all the different options and route you to them?

Guess what ladies--kayak is powered by sidestep, or vice versa! I tried signing up for sidestep, and it already knew me, from kayak. You can use your login on either site! Clearly great minds think alike.
