Animal House

Niki - hopefully, this isn't what's going on in your bedroom, but I was thinking perhaps it was some sort of creature (mouse? squirrel?) in the walls? Or attic?

There was recently a post on dooce.com about her dog detecting a raccoon in their fireplace.

I kind of think Masala wouldn't just bark at a strange noise per se, but would actually have to smell/sense/detect *something* else, you know?

Good luck!

3 tips left at the bar:

Wow. I really hope there isn't a raccoon in the wall. Once he started growling at the wireless router and I was sure he was after a mouse, so I just kind of ignored it until he stopped because I was too tired to deal and figured he'd eventually get it, if indeed it was a mouse.

All that being said, it is not out of character for him to bark at weird noises. He is a very alert pup, and this noise/vibration was so incessant, it's exactly the kind of thing that would drive him bat-shit crazy. It could be a creature(s) of some kind...but it seemed too rhythmic for that kind of thing. It really did sound/feel like heavy bass bumping from a car, only I just couldn't find the car/source. Who knows. I just hope it doesn't come back! (Not sure if it was there last night, I may have been at a real bar drinking real beers and either missed it or passed out without noticing.)

I had two links in my post, but they don't show up as the light blue, unless you scroll over them? I'll have to look into it, but just didn't want you to miss the bees part of the story; with that many they might could sound rythmic. Not that I hope that's what it is, mind you. I'm just saying.

OMG - It so better not be bees in my walls. Ack!

And yeah, we should probably look into changing the color for links - I don't think that's too hard, right?
